Century Ufc Training Gloves

Are the ufc brand mma training gloves any good?

I live in a small city and the only thing you can buy is what i mentioned above except for century which i will not buy after being very dissatisfied with thier heavy bags. Oh yeah and i cannot shop over the internet.

The only reason why use should get MMA style gloves is if you plan to train MMA which includes ground fighting and grappling. And even then they have training MMA gloves which have much more padding around the knuckle than typical MMA gloves. I have a pair that are supposed to have the same amount of padding as 16 oz boxing gloves. I’d get some Velcro 16 oz boxing gloves for bag work… don’t get lace ups (traditional boxing gloves with laces to tighten them) unless you want to be asking your partners for help putting on your gloves everyday.

If those UFC brand mma gloves are the ONLY thing you can get make sure to try them on WITH YOUR HAND WRAPS ON. Most people, including myself, didn’t know this and would have bought too small a glove if they didn’t warn me to put some hand wraps on first. For anyone who doesn’t know it’s essential to use hand wraps to prevent injury to your hands. You can probably find hand wraps wherever you buy your gloves.
