Gsp Mma 111
A Big mma fan since last year..But how do i gain more knowledge?
The First fight i saw was forrest Griffin vs tito ortiz….i believe it was UFC 105 when griffin won after being beaten once by tito,But since then i have become the biggest fan. there’s something so exciting about the sport that keeps my attention like no other. I have seen past fights that were aired before i was a fan so i know a lot but what makes you a hardcore fan…I know some people who can name people stats that’s just crazy to me. I just want to get more information about the sport and the fighters so i can became a legit fan..if you know what i mean..and i think you do.
P.S. My fave MMA organizations is WEC and UFC they seem to have the best pound for pound fighters and the weight classes don’t overlap i think….oh yeah and defiently watching UFC 111 on ppv… gsp got this..
“No Holds Barred” by Clyde Gentry and “Total MMA” by Jonathan Snowden are to really good books on the history of MMA, including some great stories. One or both of them will give you enough knowledge to hang with most “hardcore” fans.
Sites like Sherdog.com, Five Ounces of Pain, 411 MMA, and Bloodyelbow have news and articles on MMA. Sherdog’s “fight finder” function gives you a fighter’s stats at a glance. For more on stats, you can go to Fightmetric, one of my favorite MMA sites (I’m a nerd when it comes to percentages).

And I have to plug Informativesports.com, since I’m a contributor:
