Homemade Mma Training Equipment
How to Make Homemade Boxing/ Muay Thai/Mma Equipment?
Im 14 and i started muay thai training and it gets hard to make it to the gym sometimes so im trying to “make a Home Gym”
I allready have a heavy bag
This is what i want to know how to make:
-double end bag
-grappling dummy (i was thinking a store manican but idk where to get one)
-Wrist/ Forearm thing (its a stick with a rope hanging from it and u have to twist the weight up)
-workout mats
-And Any Other workout stuff i could use that could be made cheaply
seems you have a great start on your home gym. the most important thing is technique. everything you want or have is to concentrate or better your technique. you are studying Muay Thai thats a striking art right? so you want a heavy bag and a short bag for low and high kicks. a punching bag for hands and elbows. footwork and hips are the most important in muay thai strikes so you don’t need any more equipment. maybe a mirror to check your stance and technique aaah the MMA training. i’m guessing you mean conditioning training. like caveman training. tires are good for alot of things stand and jump on them for balance and leg muscles mix with weights, it’s grueling , carry and rope them for upper body power. hitting them with a sledgy. nice. there isn’t much you need if you go to a gym they wont’ have much more to be honest. to build your wist or forarms you can use a simple dumbbell curl it backwards. with your wrist. as far as a grappling dummy a manikin won’t work. it’ll break. alot of people use a twin mattress or heavy bag,. of course it’s without the arms. you can still use your imagination and practice arm bars and chokes. when it comes to jits a partner helps but it can be done with out but better make up for it at the gym. as much as possible. remember if you practice wrong technique you might as well not practice at all. conditioning is basic stuff like PE in school. jumping jacks, jump rope, step hopping or hopping on the tire. foot work drills around tires steps ect. prison squats back strait, wall squatting, push ups, sit ups, all varieties, crunches of all kinds there too many to list, legs up, arms up, to the side, you need a set or routine. and stick with it. good luck
