Mma Chicago Events
Desperately need help! MMA events?
I’m sorry; I’m not very well versed on this stuff at all — I’m clueless, which is why I’m coming here for help.
My boyfriend is pretty into MMA; his birthday is coming up, and I’m looking to get him tickets to an event in the Chicago area. Now, there is one event on May 15th in the Aragorn Ballroom. It’s something called the Bellator Fighting Championships; what is that? I know he follows UFC; from what I could gather online it’s not connected with the UFC. Would this be an event you think would be worth getting him tickets to? Is it something that anyone who follows the sport would enjoy attending?
Again, I’m really not clear on what the event is, exactly, which is why I’m coming here for help… I’d ask him but I’d rather not ruin the surprise.

The Bellator Fighting Championship is a tournament style fight spread out over the course of 3 or 4 months (not exactly sure). There are not a lot of big name fighters as far as the common fight fan is concerned, but there is a lot of talent and there are some really good fights. If he’s in to MMA then he will enjoy it as Dave Menne is fighting that night (he’s a former UFC champion).
There is a lot of talent in Bellator and if he enjoys fighting then he will appreciate the tickets. These guys are not amateurs and they will put on a good show. If your willing to spend the money, then I’d get them. If it was me I’d appreciate it.
