How to convince your parents you want to wear make-up?
I’m in Middle School & I think I am mature enough to wear make-up.
It’s not like I’mma go over the top w/ make up.
I just want to add a little eye liner & maybe some lipstick/lip gloss.
that’s all, nothing much.
But whenever I try to confront them, I back down.
I asked before when school almost started but then my mom says I’m too “little” but now she is seeing me growing up but idk if she has changed her mind the way she sees me or w/e.
• How Do I confront my mom?
& if i get to wear make-up, what style do i try?

I had the same problem; my mom didn’t let me wear makeup until high school. Looking back I’m glad though. Middle school age is a little too young. When I see girls that age wearing makeup it makes me think of little girls playing dress up. My advise would be to just make sure you take good care of your skin and hair-if you look pretty naturally, you don’t need makeup! If you really want to though, start by just asking to wear a little bit to special occasions like weddings, special church services, dances, etc. And let your mom get involved. When she sees that you care about her opinion, your maturity will show. Btw, your pic is cute-you are a pretty girl! Try not to rely on outside sources to make yourself feel beautiful.
