how can i get in shape to fight?
i am 18 years old my weight is 230 pounds but its not all muscle i want to get into shape and try and get into mma you know pride fighting im 6′2 and 230 im not fat i just need to lose a few pounds and shape it plus i need to find out how to trsin for the mma…so if any of you have tips or suggestions please let me know i would also apperciate it if u could tell me were some fight clubs or organizations in or around southern ohio thanks
Run 2 miles everyday as fast as you can. You should be able to break 16 minutes in a few weeks at your age.
Do a full body workout with very high reps. Do squats, leg lifts, dead lifts, bench press, military press, bicep curls, tricep pull downs and chin ups at about 25 reps for 3 circuits. Also do 50 situps per circuit.
Do this for 2 months BEFORE you start training. Also you will need to stretch your hamstrings and back for flexibility. Then go find a MMA gym. You will need to develop boxing, ju-jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing and other skills.
