What is your favorite MMA submission and WHY?
What is your favorite submission in MMA or any martial art in general and why is it?
I personally prefer the Triangle Choke, its simple its effective, it is a great defensive submission that can be busted out of nowhere, and it looks nice when done correctly.
When I fight, my favorite submission is the rear naked choke. I have always been good at getting an opponent’s back and the rear naked choke is pretty easy to apply. I also like it because you can’t “tough it out” meaning you either tap or take a nap.
My favorite submission to watch would be a flying armbar or triangle. To me, the athleticism, timing, and skill to perform one of these on a skilled opponent is amazing. Seeing a flying armbar done in a MMA match is definitely exciting. I think it is the equivalent of “swinging for the fences” in striking. It may not be the smartest way to fight, but it is exciting to watch!
