How To Win An MMA Fight – Meditate Your Way To Victory

The calmness exhibited by the best fighters in the world is not without reason. They have an inner calmness that can only be from practice. Meditation is one way to reach it. Here are the 3 best reasons to include meditation in your training.

Visualize.

Picture exactly how you want your fight to turn out in every detail. Training your brain to see how the fight is going to be from many angles but all leading to your victory is very beneficial. It will feel like you’ve already been there once you are.

Knowing how the fight will turn out before going in there will lower anxiety, and prevent spike in adrenalin which will prevent the onset of any fatigue.

Lowered Heart Rate.

When you’re in deep meditation you’re heart rate tends to lower. Having a decreased rate at anytime is valuable, because it decreases your oxygen metabolism.

When fighters get in the cage and have jitters, adrenalin will rise, ultimately leading to an increased heart rate which increases O2 consumption. This will also decrease the rate of fatigue onset.

Intimidation.

Walking into the cage with pure calmness will give your opponent a reason to panic. If you walk in there like this is another day on the job where your role is to kick some ass then you’re in the right frame of mind. Put into your opponents head that they haven’t trained hard enough.

If you watch Fedor walk into the ring, he has an elusiveness to him that no one can get an answer to. He shows no expression and beats the tar out of 99% of his opponents.

Meditate for the benefits that it can provide you when you step into the cage. A quality MMA program will outline the techniques that will add major benefit to your game.
