Apart from the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Champion) event this summer the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Summerslam will be the most important fighting event of this August 2009. It is expected that John Cena’s fight against current World Wrestling Entertainment champion Randy Orton will be the centrepoint of the entire show. The WWE Summerslam first began back in 1988 when it debuted to become one of Summer’s most talked about fighting events.
It is considered one of the “big four” pay per view shows along with Royal Rumble, Wrestle Mania and Survivour Series costing viewers who wish to pay for the service up to $49 each. This years event will be held at the Staples Centere in sunny Los Angeles, California. It was held at the Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianaoplis, Indiana last year.
