Joe Ray “The Future of MMA”
As MMA becomes more popular by the day new fighters are emerging from all over the world. One of the most exciting and explosive MMA fighters to burst onto the professional scene is 2010 is Joe Ray. Ray blasted on to the MMA scene in 2009 dominating ISKA with a flurry of vicious knockouts that impressed the MMA community around the US. Training out of Freestyle Fighting Academy, Miami and currently overseas training with Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket Thailand, Ray has a versatile striking and kickboxing background that’s proven to be a solid foundation to an MMA star.
Joe made his MMA debut at Strikeforce: Miami earlier this year and has a flawless record of 3-0. In his most recent bout in Martial Combat Singapore; Ray knocked the BJJ black belt Zorobabel Moreira out cold after just 14 seconds with a vicious straight right which has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of MMA fans across the net. The Martial Combat matchmakers were so blown away by Ray, who fights at around 77 kg (170lbs), that they are flying in UFC veteran Chad Reiner specifically to fight him in August. Ray and Reiner will be featured in Martial Combats main event “Super Fight” Wednesday August 18th, 2010. This will be the biggest fight of Rays career and could be the one to propel him to UFC status if he walks away the victor.
